Read a fantastic little story today, well it was more of a joke, but though the parents who read our site would find it rather amusing. It also has a little to do with baby ear thermometers as well. Here is how it goes:

A husband does not want to visit his wife’s parents over the weekend so he decides to fake a fever by holding a glass thermometer up to the light. All of a sudden his wife walks into the room so he quickly put the thermometer into his mouth. “What’s wrong?” says his wife. “I think I have a fever.” he says. His wife takes a look at the thermometer and replies that it does indeed look like he is running a temperature and agrees that perhaps he better spend the day in bed.

When the wife is at her parents her mother asks if her husband is really ill, she says ” No, and I know he is faking, but when I saw the babies rectal thermometer in his mouth, I did not have the heart to get angry”

I thought that was classic, and anyone looking to buy a thermometer, this is a great reason to stay away from glass thermometers and go for the better baby ear thermometer.
